Question 1

Can you still get parts for a used Chevrolet in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, parts are still available, even though Chevrolet stopped selling its mainstream cars in Europe after 2015. Several models share components with Opel: the Trax with the Mokka, the Captiva with the Antara, and the Cruze and Orlando with the Astra of the same years.

Question 2

Is a used Chevrolet with factory LPG worth buying?

Accepted Answer

For high-mileage drivers it is, since LPG costs less than petrol and the factory bi-fuel versions were built for it. Check the tank's date on the Documento Unico: in Italy an LPG tank must be replaced ten years after it was fitted.

Question 3

Can an older Chevrolet enter Milan's Area B?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the Euro class shown on the Documento Unico, and most Chevrolets sold in Italy were built to Euro 4 or Euro 5. Area B bans older diesels and petrol cars on a calendar that widens over the years, so check the current rules before buying.

Question 4

Is the Chevrolet Captiva a good used SUV?

Accepted Answer

The Captiva, sold in Europe from 2006 to 2015, offers a lot of space and was available with seven seats, mostly with 2.0 or, after the 2011 update, 2.2 diesel engines. On four-wheel-drive versions, make sure the rear axle engages without noise.
