Question 1

Which engine is best on a used Citroën C3 Aircross?

Accepted Answer

On a first-generation car, the BlueHDi diesel suits high mileages, while the 1.2 PureTech petrol is the common choice for town use. Whichever you pick, ask for the service history, as both need maintenance on time.

Question 2

What problems does the Citroën C3 Aircross 1.2 PureTech have?

Accepted Answer

The timing belt of the 1.2 PureTech runs in oil and can wear early, shedding fragments that block the oil pump strainer, and some engines burn oil. Ask for proof the belt was changed at the right interval and with the specified oil.

Question 3

Does the Citroën C3 Aircross have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

No, every C3 Aircross is front-wheel drive. Grip Control, on the first-generation versions that have it, adapts traction control to snow, mud and sand and comes with hill descent control.

Question 4

How much does a new Citroën C3 Aircross cost?

Accepted Answer

The new C3 Aircross is sold as a 100 hp Turbo petrol manual, a 145 hp Hybrid with the e-DCS6 automatic and a 113 hp electric ë-C3 Aircross, each trim at Citroën's list price beside the used cars.
