Question 1

Which engine is best on a used Citroën C3?

Accepted Answer

The 1.2 PureTech petrol suits most drivers, though the turbocharged versions need their timing belt, which runs in oil, replaced on schedule. The 1.5 and 1.6 BlueHDi diesels pay off only for drivers who cover long distances.

Question 2

Has the airbag recall been done on a used Citroën C3?

Accepted Answer

Second- and third-generation C3s built from 2009 to 2019 are recalled to replace their Takata driver's airbag, and Citroën asked owners to stop driving them until it is done. Ask for proof of the work or have a Citroën dealer check the VIN.

Question 3

What is the difference between the Citroën C3 and the C3 Aircross?

Accepted Answer

The C3 is a five-door hatchback, while the C3 Aircross is a taller small SUV with a bigger boot. They share the PureTech and BlueHDi engines.

Question 4

Which engines does the new Citroën C3 have?

Accepted Answer

The new C3 is sold with the 100 hp Turbo petrol and a manual gearbox, the 110 hp Hybrid with the e-DCS6 automatic, or as the 113 hp electric ë-C3. Each trim can be compared at Citroën's list price beside the used cars.
