Question 1

Does every Citroën C5 saloon have Hydractive suspension?

Accepted Answer

No, on the 2008–2017 C5 the Hydractive III+ hydropneumatic suspension was fitted to the higher versions, while the others have steel springs. On a Hydractive car, check that it rises evenly after starting and that no suspension warning lights up.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Citroën C4 and the C4 X?

Accepted Answer

The C4 X is a longer C4 with a fastback tail and a larger boot, on the same base and with the same engines, the electric ë version included. The C4 is the hatchback of the pair.

Question 3

Is a used Citroën ë-C4 a good buy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for short and medium trips: early cars have a 50 kWh battery and 136 hp, later ones a 54 kWh battery and 156 hp. An electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, and Lombardy and Piedmont exempt it for good.

Question 4

Which versions does the new Citroën C4 come in?

Accepted Answer

The new C4 is sold as a Hybrid, with the 1.2 petrol and the e-DCS6 automatic, or as the electric ë-C4, so every version is automatic. The trims step up from You to Plus and Max.
