Question 1

Is the Dacia Sandero a reliable used car?

Accepted Answer

Generally yes: it uses proven Renault mechanicals with little complex equipment, so parts are cheap and easy to find. On second-generation cars with the Easy-R robotised gearbox, check that the changes are smooth.

Question 2

Which is better used, the Dacia Sandero or the Sandero Stepway?

Accepted Answer

The Stepway sits higher and usually has more equipment, so it costs more at the same age. The hatchback is a little lighter, and the two share most of their engines.

Question 3

Is a used Dacia Sandero with LPG a good buy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the factory petrol-LPG versions suit high mileage, as LPG costs less than petrol. In most regions they pay one flat bollo rate per kW, and the LPG tank must be replaced ten years after it was made.

Question 4

How much does a new Dacia Sandero cost?

Accepted Answer

The new Sandero comes as the Streetway or the raised Stepway, with TCe petrol engines, the Eco-G 120 petrol-LPG with a manual or automatic gearbox, and the Hybrid 155. Each version is at Dacia's list price beside the used cars.
