Question 1

How much IPT do you pay on a used Fiat in Turin?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the seller: the province of Turin adds 30% to the national tariff on a private sale, but 20% on a sale with a VAT invoice, such as one from a dealer. A Fiat of up to 53 kW, like a Panda or 500 with the 1.2 or 1.0 hybrid engine, pays the flat minimum before the surcharge.

Question 2

Does an electric Fiat 500 pay the bollo in Piedmont?

Accepted Answer

No, Piedmont exempts electric cars from the bollo for good, as it does cars running only on LPG or methane. Elsewhere in Italy the national rule is five years free from first registration, then a quarter of the rate.

Question 3

Where is the electric Fiat 500 built?

Accepted Answer

At Mirafiori in Turin, the plant Fiat opened in 1939. The petrol 500 launched in 2007 was built in Tychy, Poland.

Question 4

Is a Fiat Panda 4x4 worth it in the province of Turin?

Accepted Answer

In the Alpine valleys, such as the Susa valley towards Sestriere, a Panda 4x4 copes far better with snowy roads than a front-wheel-drive car. On the third generation, from 2012, the rear axle is engaged by an electronically controlled coupling.
