Which Ford Focus diesel engine is best to buy used?

For high mileage, the 2.0 TDCi and 2.0 EcoBlue are the strongest and most relaxed on the motorway. The 1.5 TDCi and 1.5 EcoBlue use less fuel and suit mixed driving, but all of them need regular long runs to keep the particulate filter clean.

Can a diesel Ford Focus enter Milan's Area B?

It depends on its Euro class and registration date, and the rules tighten over time. Check the class on the Documento Unico against the current Area B calendar, and do the same for other cities' limits on older diesels.

What goes wrong on a used Ford Focus diesel?

Mostly faults from short trips: a clogged particulate filter, a sticking EGR valve and, on EcoBlue engines, AdBlue system faults. Ask whether the clutch and dual-mass flywheel have been replaced, as both wear on high-mileage diesels.
