Question 1

Which used Ford Kuga generation should I buy?

Accepted Answer

The third generation, from 2019, is the most efficient and the only one with hybrid versions. A second-generation Kuga, especially after the 2016 facelift, costs less and was widely sold with four-wheel drive and diesel engines.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Check that the 2020 battery recall, which briefly halted sales, was carried out, and that the car charges properly from a socket. Its electric range on a full charge also shows how the battery has aged.

Question 3

Is the Ford Kuga diesel a good used buy?

Accepted Answer

The 2.0 TDCi and 2.0 EcoBlue suit long distances and towing, and were offered with four-wheel drive. Used mostly in town they risk a clogged particulate filter, and the EcoBlue engines also need AdBlue.

Question 4

How much does a new Ford Kuga cost?

Accepted Answer

The new Kuga is sold with the 1.5 EcoBoost petrol, as a 150 cv manual or a 186 cv automatic, and as the 243 cv 2.5 Plug-In Hybrid, all front-wheel drive, in trims from Titanium to ST-Line X and Active X, each at Ford's list price.
