Question 1

Is the Ford Kuga a four-wheel-drive SUV?

Accepted Answer

Not always: many Kugas are front-wheel drive, including every Plug-In Hybrid. Four-wheel drive was offered mostly with the diesels and, on the third generation, the 2.5 Hybrid, so check the exact version in the advert.

Question 2

Ford Kuga or Ford Puma: which used SUV should I buy?

Accepted Answer

The Kuga is the larger, with more rear space and boot for a family and versions with four-wheel drive. The Puma, smaller and based on the Fiesta, suits town driving and is front-wheel drive only.

Question 3

Is a used Ford Kuga good in the mountains?

Accepted Answer

A four-wheel-drive Kuga on winter tyres copes well with snowy Alpine and Apennine roads. A front-wheel-drive one needs winter tyres or chains on board where Italy's winter rules apply, as any car does.

Question 4

Is it worth buying a new Ford Kuga instead of a used one?

Accepted Answer

The new Kuga is the updated third generation, sold with the 1.5 EcoBoost petrol, manual or automatic, and the 243 cv 2.5 Plug-In Hybrid, all front-wheel drive, at Ford's list price. It has the factory warranty, while a used Kuga costs less.
