Question 1

What problems does the Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost have?

Accepted Answer

Its weak point is the timing belt that runs in oil: the wrong oil or stretched service intervals degrade it, and debris from it can starve the oil pump. Ask for a service history with Ford-specified oil and when the belt was replaced.

Question 2

Is the 125 hp or the 155 hp Ford Puma better?

Accepted Answer

The 155 hp version, from the same 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid, adds pace when overtaking or fully loaded. For mostly town and suburban driving, the 125 hp is enough.

Question 3

How much bollo does a Ford Puma petrol pay?

Accepted Answer

It pays on its kW and Euro class at the owner's region's rate. The 125 hp version, at 92 kW, stays under the 100 kW step where a higher rate per kW begins, while the 155 and 160 hp versions go just over it.

Question 4

Which petrol versions does the new Ford Puma have?

Accepted Answer

The new petrol Puma has the 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid at 125 hp, with a six-speed manual or seven-speed Powershift, or at 160 hp with the Powershift in the ST and ST Edition. Each is listed at Ford's official price.
