Question 1

What kind of automatic gearbox does the Jeep Avenger have?

Accepted Answer

The e-Hybrid and 4xe use a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox with the electric motor built in. The electric Avenger has a single fixed ratio, so it drives like an automatic without ever changing gear.

Question 2

What should I check on a used automatic Jeep Avenger?

Accepted Answer

On a hybrid, test pulling away and manoeuvring at walking pace: the dual-clutch gearbox should engage without jerks. On an electric, ask for the battery health report and check that the charging cable comes with the car.

Question 3

Is the electric Jeep Avenger good for long journeys?

Accepted Answer

It is at its best in town and on regional trips: the 54 kWh battery gives a WLTP range of around 400 km, and fast charging at up to 100 kW lengthens motorway stops. For frequent long motorway drives, the e-Hybrid is easier.

Question 4

How much does a new automatic Jeep Avenger cost?

Accepted Answer

The new automatic Avenger comes as the 110 hp 48-volt hybrid, the 145 hp 4xe with all-wheel drive or the 156 hp electric with a 54 kWh battery. Each trim is at Jeep's list price beside the used cars.
