Question 1

Which engines does a used Jeep Renegade or Compass have?

Accepted Answer

Older ones mostly have the 1.6 or 2.0 Multijet diesel or the 1.4 MultiAir petrol. Later came the 1.0 and 1.3 turbo petrols, the 1.3 4xe plug-in hybrid from 2020 and the 1.5 mild hybrid from 2022.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Jeep 4xe plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Ask for the service record at a Jeep dealer, including any software updates, and check that the car runs on electricity and charges properly. The rear electric motor gives the four-wheel drive, so a weak battery also limits traction off road.

Question 3

Which used Jeeps pay the superbollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Those above 185 kW, such as the Wrangler with the 2.0 turbo petrol or as a 4xe plug-in, and the Grand Cherokee with petrol V6 or V8 engines. The 2.2 diesel Wrangler, the Renegade and the Compass stay below it.

Question 4

Which new Jeeps can you buy in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The Avenger, Compass and Renegade are sold new: the Avenger as a manual petrol, mild hybrid, 4xe or 156 hp electric, the Compass with mild-hybrid, plug-in and electric versions of up to 375 hp, and the Renegade as a mild hybrid or 4xe. Each version appears at Jeep's list price beside the used cars.
