Question 1

Which Kia Sportage generation should I buy used?

Accepted Answer

The fourth generation, sold from 2016 and facelifted in 2018, is the most common used. The fifth, from 2022, added full and plug-in hybrid versions; both offer front or all-wheel drive depending on the engine.

Question 2

Kia Stonic or Sportage: which suits Italian cities?

Accepted Answer

The Stonic, about 4.1 metres long, parks more easily in narrow old-town streets, and its 1.0 T-GDi stays under 100 kW for the bollo. The Sportage, about 4.5 metres, gives far more boot and rear-seat room for a family.

Question 3

Which used Kia SUVs are electric?

Accepted Answer

The e-Niro, renamed Niro EV with the 2022 generation, the EV6 crossover sold from 2021, and the larger EV9. Nationally an electric car pays no bollo for five years, and in Lombardy and Piedmont never.

Question 4

Which new Kia SUVs are on sale in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Kia sells the Stonic, XCeed, Seltos, Niro, Sportage and Sorento new with petrol, GPL, hybrid, plug-in or diesel engines, and the electric EV2, EV3, EV5, EV6 and EV9. Each version can be compared at Kia's list price beside the used cars.
