Question 1

Which engines does a used Lancia Ypsilon have?

Accepted Answer

The 2011–2024 Ypsilon had a 1.2 petrol with 69 hp, the 0.9 TwinAir, the 1.3 Multijet diesel and factory LPG and methane versions. From 2020 a 1.0 mild hybrid with 70 hp joined the range.

Question 2

How much IPT does a used Lancia Ypsilon pay?

Accepted Answer

The 1.2 with 69 hp and the 1.0 hybrid have about 51 kW, under the 53 kW line, so they pay the flat minimum IPT plus the buyer's provincial surcharge. Above 53 kW IPT is charged on every kW.

Question 3

Are classic Lancias cheaper to transfer in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a car over 30 years old pays a flat €51.65 of IPT whatever its power, if not used professionally, which covers models such as the Fulvia and the Delta HF Integrale. Several regions also cut or waive the bollo for certified historic cars.

Question 4

Is it worth buying a new Lancia Ypsilon instead of a used one?

Accepted Answer

The new Ypsilon comes electric with 156 or 280 hp and a 54 kWh battery, as a 110 hp hybrid with an automatic or as a 100 hp turbo petrol manual, in base, LX, HF Line and HF trims. A used 2011–2024 Ypsilon is smaller and simpler, and costs much less.
