Question 1

Which used Range Rover Sport diesel is the most reliable?

Accepted Answer

The 3.0 SDV6 of the second generation has a good record when serviced on time. The first generation's 2.7 TDV6 is the one to approach with care, as crankshaft failures are a known risk, so a full service history matters.

Question 2

Does a Range Rover Sport diesel pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Many do. The first generation's TDV6 versions and today's D250 stay below 185 kW, while the SDV6, the V8 diesels, the D300 and the D350 are above. The surcharge falls with age and ends twenty years after construction.

Question 3

Does a used Range Rover Sport diesel need AdBlue?

Accepted Answer

Euro 6 versions from around 2016 have an SCR system and need AdBlue topped up between services. An ignored warning ends with the engine refusing to restart, so check that the system works before buying.

Question 4

What diesel engines does the new Range Rover Sport have?

Accepted Answer

The new diesel is the 3.0 six-cylinder mild hybrid, as the D250 with 249 hp, the D300 with 300 hp and, on the Autobiography, the D350 with 350 hp, always automatic. Trims run from S and SE to Dynamic HSE and the Battersea Edition.
