Question 1

What goes wrong on a used Land Rover?

Accepted Answer

Air suspension is the commonest big bill on the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Discovery: check that the car sits level and rises without warnings. On the older TDV6 diesels, crankshaft failure is a known weak point, so a full oil-change history matters.

Question 2

Does a used Land Rover pay the superbollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when its power exceeds 185 kW, as on many six-cylinder and V8 versions: €20 for each kW above 185, falling after five, ten and fifteen years from construction and ending after twenty. The four-cylinder 2.0 diesels stay below the threshold.

Question 3

Range Rover Evoque or Discovery Sport: which is the better used buy?

Accepted Answer

They share a platform and engines. The Evoque is more compact and styled for town, while the Discovery Sport has a bigger boot and can carry seven in a 5+2 layout.

Question 4

Which new Land Rovers are on sale in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The whole range, from the Evoque and Discovery Sport to the Defender, Discovery, Velar, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, all automatic, in diesel, petrol, plug-in hybrid and electric versions. Each can be compared at Land Rover's list price beside the used cars.
