What is the difference between the Mercedes A-Class saloon and the CLA?

Both share the platform and engines, but the CLA has a lower, coupé-like roof and frameless door windows. The A-Class saloon has a more upright roof and more head room in the back.

Is the A-Class saloon's boot bigger than the hatchback's?

Yes, the saloon's longer tail gives a noticeably larger boot than the hatchback's. It opens with a lid rather than a tailgate, though, so bulky items load less easily.

Which used A-Class saloon suits high mileage?

The A 180 d and A 200 d diesels, which use little fuel on the motorway. For town driving the A 250 e plug-in hybrid can run on electricity, as long as it can be charged at home or work.
