Question 1

Which used MG ZS is the best buy?

Accepted Answer

The ZS EV suits drivers who can charge at home, and cars from 2021 have the bigger battery and longer range. The 2024 Hybrid+ uses little fuel without a plug, while the 1.5 petrol is the simplest of all.

Question 2

What should I check on a used MG ZS EV?

Accepted Answer

Ask an MG dealer for a battery health report and check the charging socket and cable. Make sure the car is a 2021 or later model if you need the larger battery, as the early ZS EV goes less far on a charge.

Question 3

Does a used MG ZS EV pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, then a quarter of the rate. In Lombardy and Piedmont electric cars are exempt for good.

Question 4

Which versions of the new MG ZS are on sale?

Accepted Answer

The new ZS is sold with the 115 hp 1.5 petrol and manual gearbox, in Standard or Comfort trim, or as the 197 hp Hybrid+ with an automatic, in Comfort or Luxury, each at MG's list price.
