Question 1

Is MG's warranty valid on a used car?

Accepted Answer

MG's factory warranty stays with the car, so a used MG can still be covered if it is within the period and mileage and has been serviced as MG requires. Ask for the service record and the date of first registration.

Question 2

Which used MG electric car should I choose?

Accepted Answer

The MG4 is a rear-drive electric hatchback offered with several battery sizes, while the ZS EV is a front-drive compact SUV. On either, ask for a battery health report and check the charging power it accepts.

Question 3

Do used electric MGs pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

An electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, then a quarter of the rate, by national law. Some regions, such as Lombardy and Piedmont, exempt it with no end date.

Question 4

How much does a new MG cost?

Accepted Answer

New MGs, from the MG3 and ZS to the HS, the electric MG4, MG4 Urban and S5, are sold in petrol, hybrid and electric versions, each at MG's list price beside the used cars.
