Question 1

Which versions of the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio are there?

Accepted Answer

The 2.2 diesel comes with 160 hp and rear-wheel drive or 210 hp and Q4 all-wheel drive, each in Sprint, Veloce and Luna Rossa trim. Above them sits the Quadrifoglio, with the 520 hp 2.9 V6 and Q4.

Question 2

Does a new Alfa Romeo Stelvio pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Only the Quadrifoglio: its 520 hp V6 is far above 185 kW, so the state surcharge is added to the bollo every year. The 160 and 210 hp diesels stay below the threshold.

Question 3

What does it cost to register a new Alfa Romeo Stelvio in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Besides the car's price you pay IPT, set by its kW and by your province, plus the registration fees and plates. The 210 hp diesel pays more IPT than the 160 hp one.

Question 4

Is it better to buy a new or a used Alfa Romeo Stelvio?

Accepted Answer

A new Stelvio has the factory warranty and the current equipment, but loses most value in its first years. Used ones go back to 2017 and also include the 2.0 turbo petrol, no longer in the new range.
