Question 1

Which hybrid Alfa Romeo models are sold new in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4 is the one Alfa Romeo lists as a hybrid, with 270 hp and four-wheel drive. The Tonale and Junior Ibrida are mild hybrids, listed with the petrol cars.

Question 2

How do the new Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in trims differ?

Accepted Answer

They share the 270 hp powertrain and Q4 drive. From the base car, the Sprint, Ti, Veloce and Luna Rossa add equipment and styling in steps, with the Luna Rossa at the top.

Question 3

Does a plug-in hybrid Alfa Romeo Tonale pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

In most regions it does, often at one flat rate per kW whatever the Euro class, and a few regions exempt new hybrids for some years. Sicily exempts plug-in hybrids newly registered from 2026 to 2028 for five years.

Question 4

Is a new Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new one has the full factory warranty and a battery with no history. A used one costs less; ask how it was charged and have a dealer check the battery's health.
