Question 1

Is the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida a full hybrid?

Accepted Answer

No, it is a 48-volt mild hybrid: a small electric motor helps the 1.2 turbo and can move the car briefly at low speed. It needs no plugging in, and the Q4 version adds an electric motor on the rear axle.

Question 2

Which petrol engine does the new Alfa Romeo Tonale have?

Accepted Answer

The Tonale Ibrida pairs a 1.5 turbo with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for 175 hp, with a dual-clutch automatic and front-wheel drive. It comes in base, Sprint, Ti, Veloce and Luna Rossa trims.

Question 3

How much superbollo does the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio pay?

Accepted Answer

Its 520 hp equals about 382 kW, so it pays €20 for each kW above 185 every year, reduced only after five years. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has the same engine and pays the same.

Question 4

Do new Alfa Romeo mild hybrids get a bollo discount?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the owner's region: many charge hybrids one flat rate per kW, and a few exempt new hybrids for some years. Check your region's rules before buying.
