Question 1

Which versions does the new Audi A1 come in?

Accepted Answer

Two bodies, the Sportback hatchback and the allstreet with raised suspension, in Business, Identity and S line Edition trims. The engines are the 116 hp 30 TFSI, the 150 hp 35 TFSI and, on the Sportback only, the 207 hp 40 TFSI.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Audi A1 Sportback and the allstreet?

Accepted Answer

The allstreet sits higher, with crossover-style bumpers and wheel-arch trims, but keeps the Sportback's front-wheel drive and petrol engines. It is offered with the 30 and 35 TFSI, not the 40 TFSI.

Question 3

Is there a diesel or hybrid new Audi A1?

Accepted Answer

No, the current A1 is petrol only, with turbo TFSI engines and no diesel or electrified version. The 30 TFSI comes with a manual or S tronic gearbox, the more powerful engines with S tronic only.

Question 4

Is a new Audi A1 better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new A1 has Audi's factory warranty and the specification you choose, but loses more value in its first years. A used second-generation A1, from 2018, shares the same platform and engine family and costs less.

Question 5

How much bollo does a new Audi A1 pay?

Accepted Answer

The bollo is charged on the A1's kW and Euro 6 class, at the rate of the owner's region. Even the 207 hp 40 TFSI stays below the 185 kW threshold of the superbollo.
