Question 1

Which versions does the new Audi A3 come in?

Accepted Answer

Three bodies: the Sportback hatchback, the Sedan and the raised allstreet. The engines are the TFSI petrol and TDI diesel of 116 and 150 hp and, on the Sportback, the e-hybrid plug-in of 204 or 272 hp, in Business, Business Advanced, Design and S line trims.

Question 2

How far does the Audi A3 e-hybrid go on electricity?

Accepted Answer

The A3 Sportback e-hybrid has a 20 kWh battery and an official electric range of about 130 to 140 km, depending on the version. It pays off when charged regularly, at home or at work.

Question 3

Does the 272 hp Audi A3 e-hybrid pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Its 272 hp equal 200 kW, above the 185 kW threshold, so the superbollo applies unless the car is exempt from the bollo. Several regions exempt or discount hybrids, so check your own region's rule.

Question 4

Can you still buy a new Audi A3 with a manual gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the 116 hp TFSI and TDI, as Sportback or Sedan. Every 150 hp engine, the allstreet and the e-hybrid come with the S tronic automatic.

Question 5

Is a new Audi A3 better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new A3 comes with Audi's factory warranty and the latest plug-in hybrid, but loses more value in its first years. A used A3 of the same generation, from 2020, shares the platform and most engines and costs less.
