Question 1

Which new Audi models are still sold with a petrol engine?

Accepted Answer

Most of the range: the A1, A3, A5 and A6, and the Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q8 SUVs, all with TFSI turbo engines. The S and RS models, such as the S3, SQ5, RS 3 and RS Q8, are petrol too.

Question 2

Can I buy a new petrol Audi with a manual gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Only with a few smaller petrol engines, on models such as the A1, A3 and Q2. The larger models and every S and RS version come with an S tronic or tiptronic automatic.

Question 3

Do new Audi S and RS models pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Most of them exceed 185 kW, so they pay the superbollo every year on top of the bollo, charged on each kW above that threshold. A new car pays it in full, and it falls only after five years.

Question 4

Is a new petrol Audi better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new Audi has the factory warranty and the latest driver-assistance systems, but loses much of its value in its first years. A used petrol Audi two or three years old often keeps part of its warranty.
