Question 1

Which versions does the new BMW X2 come in?

Accepted Answer

A petrol sDrive20i, the sDrive18d, sDrive20d and xDrive20d diesels, and the sporting M35i xDrive with 300 hp. Every one has an automatic gearbox, and only the xDrive versions drive all four wheels.

Question 2

Should I buy a new or a used BMW X2?

Accepted Answer

A new X2 has the manufacturer's warranty and the second generation's longer body and bigger boot. A used first-generation X2, built from 2018 to 2023, costs less but is shorter and less roomy.

Question 3

Does the new BMW X2 M35i pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At 300 hp, about 221 kW, it is above the 185 kW threshold, so it pays the superbollo on each kW over it on top of the bollo every year. The other versions stay below the threshold.

Question 4

How much bollo does a new BMW X2 pay?

Accepted Answer

The bollo is charged on the X2's kW and its Euro 6 class, at the rate of the owner's region. The sDrive18d is the least powerful version, so it pays the least.
