Question 1

Which versions does the new Citroën C4 come in?

Accepted Answer

The C4 hatchback and the C4 X saloon are sold as petrol hybrids of 110 or 145 hp, always with the e-DCS6 automatic, and as the electric ë-C4 of 136 hp Standard Range or 156 hp Extended Range. Trims run from You through Plus to Max.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Citroën C4 and C4 X?

Accepted Answer

The C4 X is the C4 with a longer rear and a separate boot, a four-door saloon rather than a hatchback. It shares the C4's hybrid and electric powertrains and its dashboard.

Question 3

How far does the new Citroën ë-C4 go on a charge?

Accepted Answer

The 136 hp Standard Range versions have an official WLTP range of about 340 to 360 km, and the 156 hp Extended Range about 415 to 425 km, depending on body and trim.

Question 4

Is a new Citroën C4 better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new C4 has the manufacturer's warranty and the latest hybrid with a dual-clutch gearbox. A used third-generation C4 shares the body and comfort-oriented suspension, often with PureTech or BlueHDi engines, and costs less.

Question 5

Does a new Citroën ë-C4 pay the bollo?

Accepted Answer

Under the base rules an electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, then a quarter of the rate. Each region sets its own exemptions, and some, such as Lombardy, exempt electric cars for good.
