Question 1

Which engines does a new Citroën have in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The C3 and C3 Aircross offer a 100 hp Turbo petrol with a manual gearbox, while the Hybrids pair a 1.2 petrol with the six-speed e-DCS6 automatic, in 110 or 145 hp. Every model also comes as an electric ë version, and the C5 Aircross adds a 225 hp plug-in hybrid.

Question 2

What do the You, Plus and Max trims add on a new Citroën?

Accepted Answer

You is the entry trim, Plus adds more equipment, and Max sits at the top of the range. Some models also come as Business versions for company buyers, and as Outdoor or Collection editions.

Question 3

Does Citroën still sell new diesel cars in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Only on its people carriers: the Berlingo has a 100 hp 1.5 diesel with a manual gearbox, and the Jumpy Combi and Spacetourer a 180 hp 2.2 with an automatic. The C3, C4 and C5 Aircross are sold as petrol, hybrid or electric.

Question 4

Do new electric Citroëns pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, then a quarter of the rate, and some regions exempt it for longer. On any new car the buyer also pays IPT, set by its kW and their own province.

Question 5

Is it better to buy a new or a used Citroën?

Accepted Answer

A new Citroën comes with the manufacturer's warranty and the latest hybrid and electric powertrains, but loses more value in its first years. A recent used one costs less; on a 1.2 PureTech, ask about the timing belt.
