Question 1

How far does a new Cupra e-Hybrid go on electricity?

Accepted Answer

The new Formentor e-Hybrid claims about 115 to 126 km of electric range on the WLTP cycle, depending on the version. Real range is shorter in winter and on the motorway.

Question 2

Should I choose the 204 or the 272 hp Cupra e-Hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The 204 hp suits most drivers and comes in the most trims. The 272 hp is kept for the higher trims, the sporty VZ included, with stronger acceleration and more equipment.

Question 3

Do Cupra plug-in hybrids pay less bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

In many regions a hybrid pays one flat rate per kW whatever its Euro class, and a few exempt new hybrids for some years. The rule follows the owner's region, so check it before buying.

Question 4

Is a new Cupra e-Hybrid better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

The current 1.5 e-Hybrid has a bigger battery and far more electric range than the earlier 1.4 e-Hybrid. A used one costs less, but only pays off if you can charge it regularly.
