Question 1

Which new Dacia models have a petrol engine in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The Sandero, the Duster, the Jogger and the Bigster are all sold with petrol engines. On several versions the petrol engine is an Eco-G bi-fuel, which also runs on LPG.

Question 2

What does Eco-G mean on a new Dacia?

Accepted Answer

Eco-G is Dacia's factory-fitted petrol and LPG bi-fuel system, with a second tank for LPG and a switch to choose the fuel. Because it is fitted at the factory, it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Question 3

Is there a new petrol Dacia with an automatic gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, some versions pair the petrol engine with an automatic gearbox, such as the Duster Eco-G 120 Auto, while the entry versions are manual.

Question 4

How much does it cost to register a new Dacia in Italy?

Accepted Answer

On top of the list price you pay IPT, set by the car's kW and your province, plus about €127 of fees, stamp duty and plates; the dealer usually handles it. The annual bollo then depends on kW, Euro class and your region's rates.

Question 5

Is a new petrol Dacia better value than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new Dacia has the manufacturer's warranty and the latest safety equipment, but loses value fastest in its first years. A recent used one costs less and may keep part of its warranty.
