Question 1

Which versions does the new Fiat 500 come in?

Accepted Answer

The trims step up from Pop to Icon and La Prima, with Torino on the hybrid hatchback and Dolcevita on the hybrid Cabrio. The bodies are the hatchback, the 3+1 with a small rear-hinged door on the passenger side, and the Cabrio with a fabric roof.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Fiat 500 Hybrid and the 500e?

Accepted Answer

The 500e is fully electric, with 95 hp and a 24 kWh battery or 118 hp and 42 kWh, and single-speed automatic drive. The 500 Hybrid shares its body but has the 65 hp 1.0 mild-hybrid petrol engine and a manual gearbox.

Question 3

How far does the new Fiat 500e go on a charge?

Accepted Answer

About 190 km WLTP with the 24 kWh battery and a little over 300 km with the 42 kWh one, varying slightly with body and trim. On the motorway and in winter, expect noticeably less.

Question 4

Does a new Fiat 500e pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

An electric car is exempt for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate, and Lombardy and Piedmont exempt it for good. The 500 Hybrid pays on its kW and Euro class at the owner's region's rate.
