Question 1

Which electric cars does Ford sell in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The Explorer and the Capri, two electric SUVs, and the Mustang Mach-E. Each version is shown at Ford's list price beside the hybrid and petrol models.

Question 2

Do new electric Fords pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car is exempt from the bollo for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate. Lombardy and Piedmont exempt it for good, and other regions set their own rules.

Question 3

Does the new Ford Mustang pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the V8 Mustang is well above 185 kW, so it pays the state superbollo of €20 for each kW over that threshold every year, on top of the bollo. The surcharge shrinks as the car ages and ends after twenty years.

Question 4

Should I buy a new or a used Ford?

Accepted Answer

A new Ford comes with the manufacturer's warranty and the current hybrid and electric powertrains. A used one costs less, and the Fiesta and Focus are now found only used, as they are no longer sold new.
