Question 1

Which new Fords are still sold with a diesel engine in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Among passenger cars, only the Tourneo Connect. Used diesel Focus and Kuga cars remain easy to find for buyers who want a Ford diesel saloon or SUV.

Question 2

Is a new diesel Ford Tourneo Connect worth it?

Accepted Answer

It suits families and tradespeople who cover long distances with a full load, where a diesel's low consumption counts. For short trips the other Tourneo Connect versions may suit better.

Question 3

How much tax does a new diesel Ford pay in Italy?

Accepted Answer

At registration you pay IPT, set by the car's kW and your province. Every year after that comes the bollo, on kW and the Euro 6 class, at the rate of the region where you live.

Question 4

Should I buy a new or a used Ford Tourneo Connect?

Accepted Answer

A new one has the factory warranty and the latest Euro 6 emissions standard, which keeps it clear of diesel restrictions for longer. A used one costs less, but Tourneo Connects built before 2022 are an earlier, different design.
