Question 1

Which new Hyundai models are electric?

Accepted Answer

The small Inster, the IONIQ 3, IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6 and seven-seat IONIQ 9, and the Kona Electric. The IONIQ 5 and 6 also come as the high-performance N, with all-wheel drive.

Question 2

Does Hyundai sell new cars with factory LPG in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the i20, the Bayon and the Kona are offered with the 1.0 T-GDi on petrol and LPG, fitted at the factory. Because the system is fitted at the factory, it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Question 3

What is the difference between the Hyundai Tucson hybrid and plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Both pair a 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine with an electric motor and an automatic gearbox. The plug-in has a larger battery charged from the mains, so it covers short trips on electricity, while the full hybrid charges itself.

Question 4

Do new electric Hyundais pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car is exempt for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate. Some regions, such as Lombardy and Piedmont, exempt it for good.

Question 5

Is it better to buy a new or a used Hyundai in Italy?

Accepted Answer

A new Hyundai comes with the manufacturer's warranty and the latest powertrains, but loses most value in its first years. A recent used one costs less and often keeps part of Hyundai's factory warranty.
