Which new Hyundai is available with a diesel engine in Italy?

Only the Tucson, with the 136 hp 1.6 CRDi diesel, 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance and a DCT automatic gearbox. The other models are petrol, hybrid or electric.

What does 48V mean on the new Hyundai Tucson diesel?

It is a mild-hybrid system: a 48-volt starter-generator recovers energy when braking and helps the diesel when pulling away. It cannot drive the car on electricity alone and never needs charging.

Is a new Hyundai Tucson diesel worth it over the hybrid?

The diesel suits drivers who cover long motorway distances and want a lower-powered version. In town and on short trips the full hybrid, with its larger battery, makes better use of electric driving.
