Question 1

Which versions does the new Lancia Ypsilon come in?

Accepted Answer

Three powertrains: the 156 hp electric, the 110 hp hybrid with an automatic gearbox and the 100 hp turbo petrol with a manual. Each comes in the base, LX and HF Line trims, while the 280 hp HF is electric only.

Question 2

What range does the electric Lancia Ypsilon have?

Accepted Answer

The 156 hp electric has a 54 kWh battery and a WLTP range of about 420 km, depending on trim. The 280 hp HF, with the same battery, covers about 370 km.

Question 3

Is a new Lancia Ypsilon better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

The new car is a different, larger model shared with other Stellantis cars, with an electric option and the manufacturer's warranty. A used third-generation Ypsilon, built until 2024, costs less but has older engines and less safety equipment.

Question 4

Does the electric Lancia Ypsilon pay the bollo?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car is exempt for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate. Some regions, such as Lombardy and Piedmont, exempt it for good.
