Question 1

Which versions does the new Land Rover Defender come in?

Accepted Answer

The trims step up from S to X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, X and Vertex, with the Outbound on the 130 and the Trophy Edition on the 110. The OCTA, with its 540 hp V8, sits at the top.

Question 2

Defender 90, 110 or 130: which should I choose?

Accepted Answer

The 90 is the shortest, with three doors, and the easiest to place off road; the 110 has five doors and can carry a third row; the 130 stretches the body for up to eight seats. The plug-in hybrid comes only as a 110.

Question 3

Which engine should I choose on the new Land Rover Defender?

Accepted Answer

The D250 and D350 diesels, both 3.0 six-cylinder mild hybrids, suit long journeys and towing. The 300 hp plug-in hybrid, with a 15 kWh battery and more than 45 km of electric range, suits short daily trips.

Question 4

Does a new Land Rover Defender pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on versions over 185 kW, which take in the D350, the P380 and the OCTA: €20 a year for each kW above 185, falling after five, ten and fifteen years. The D200 and D250 stay below the threshold.
