Question 1

Should I choose the 200 hp or the 249 hp Mazda CX-60 diesel?

Accepted Answer

The 200 hp drives the rear wheels and is the simpler, lighter choice. The 249 hp adds all-wheel drive and more pulling power for towing or mountain roads, and it is the only diesel on the CX-80.

Question 2

Does the new Mazda 3.3 diesel pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

No. Even the 249 hp version has about 183 kW, just under the 185 kW threshold. Both outputs do exceed 100 kW, so part of the bollo is charged at the higher rate.

Question 3

Is a new Mazda CX-60 better as a diesel or a plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The diesel suits long motorway runs and towing, with no charging needed. The 327 hp plug-in hybrid suits shorter daily trips on electricity, if you can charge at home or at work.

Question 4

Is a new Mazda CX-60 diesel worth it over a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new one comes with the full factory warranty and the trim you choose. A used CX-60 diesel costs less and has the same 3.3 six-cylinder, often with part of its warranty left.
