Question 1

Which versions does the new Mercedes E-Class come in?

Accepted Answer

The 204 hp E 200 petrol, the E 200 d and E 220 d diesels with 163 and 197 hp, the 367 hp six-cylinder E 450 d, the E 300 e, E 300 de and E 400 e plug-in hybrids and the AMG E 53 Hybrid. 4MATIC is offered on several and fitted to every All-Terrain.

Question 2

How far does the Mercedes E-Class plug-in hybrid go on electricity?

Accepted Answer

The E 300 e, E 300 de and E 400 e carry a 20 kWh battery rated at about 100 km of electric range, from 96 to 110 km depending on version and body. That covers most daily commutes without starting the engine.

Question 3

Does a new Mercedes E-Class pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Only versions above 185 kW: the E 450 d and the AMG E 53 Hybrid exceed it, so they pay €20 for each kW above 185 every year on top of the bollo. The four-cylinder E 200, E 200 d and E 220 d stay below.

Question 4

Is it better to buy a new or a used Mercedes E-Class?

Accepted Answer

A new E-Class has the factory warranty and the latest MBUX systems, but a large executive car loses much of its value in its first years. A W213, sold until 2023, costs far less and offers similar four-cylinder diesels.
