Question 1

Which versions does the new MG ZS come in?

Accepted Answer

The 115 hp 1.5 petrol, with a manual gearbox, comes in Standard and Comfort trims. The 197 hp Hybrid+, with an automatic, comes in Comfort and Luxury, the top trim adding more comfort equipment.

Question 2

Is the MG ZS Hybrid+ a plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

No, the ZS Hybrid+ is a full hybrid that charges its battery itself while driving and braking. It never needs plugging in, and it pulls away and moves in town largely on electric power.

Question 3

How much bollo does a new MG ZS Hybrid+ pay?

Accepted Answer

In most regions a hybrid pays one flat rate per kW, whatever its Euro class, set by the owner's region. Some regions also exempt new hybrids for a time, Veneto for three tax years, so check your own region's rules.

Question 4

Is it better to buy a new or a used MG ZS?

Accepted Answer

A new ZS has the full factory warranty and the current Hybrid+ powertrain. A used one costs less, and the earlier generation also offers the electric ZS EV.
