Question 1

Which versions does the new Mini Countryman come in?

Accepted Answer

Petrol from the 122 hp One to the 170 hp C, 218 hp S ALL4 and 300 hp John Cooper Works; diesel as the One D of 136 hp and the D of 163 hp; electric as the E of 204 hp and the SE ALL4 of 313 hp. All are automatic.

Question 2

Is the new Mini Countryman available as a diesel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as the One D and the D, both with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. They suit high-mileage drivers who cannot charge an electric car easily.

Question 3

Does the new Mini John Cooper Works Countryman pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, its 300 hp is above 185 kW, so it pays the superbollo every year on top of the regional bollo. The S ALL4 and the other petrol versions stay below the threshold.

Question 4

Is a new Mini Countryman better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

The new one is bigger, with the factory warranty and an electric version of long range. A used second-generation Countryman costs less and was also sold as a plug-in hybrid.
