Question 1

Which engines does the new Mitsubishi ASX have?

Accepted Answer

The ASX comes with a turbo petrol engine and a manual gearbox, or with mild and full hybrid powertrains. It is built on the same base as the Renault Captur.

Question 2

What is the difference between the new Mitsubishi Grandis and ASX?

Accepted Answer

The Grandis, launched in 2025, is longer than the ASX, with more room in the back and a larger boot, and shares its base with the Renault Symbioz. Both offer petrol and hybrid engines.

Question 3

Do new Mitsubishi hybrids pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, under the rules of the owner's region: some regions exempt new hybrids for a few years, others charge a flat rate per kW whatever the Euro class. Lombardy, for instance, charges hybrids a flat €2.58 per kW.

Question 4

Is a new Mitsubishi better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new one carries the manufacturer's warranty and today's hybrids, while a used ASX or Outlander of an earlier generation costs far less. The first ASX, built from 2010, was Mitsubishi's own design and a different car from today's.
