Question 1

Which versions does the new Nissan Micra come in?

Accepted Answer

Two powertrains: 120 hp with the 40 kWh battery and 150 hp with the 52 kWh battery. Engage comes with the smaller battery, Evolve with the larger, and Advance with either.

Question 2

Which battery should I choose on the new Nissan Micra?

Accepted Answer

The 40 kWh suits town and suburban driving, while the 52 kWh, with 150 hp, gives more range for motorway trips. Both drive through a single-speed automatic transmission.

Question 3

Should I buy a new electric Micra or a used petrol one?

Accepted Answer

The new Micra is a different car: electric, with the manufacturer's warranty. A used fifth-generation Micra, from 2017, has a small petrol engine and costs less to buy, so the choice turns on whether you can charge at home or at work.

Question 4

Does the new Nissan Micra pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car is exempt from the bollo for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate. In Lombardy and Piedmont it is exempt for good.
