Question 1

What versions does the new Opel Grandland come in?

Accepted Answer

Three powertrains, all automatic: the 145 hp Hybrid, the 225 hp Plug-in Hybrid and the Electric, at 213 hp with 73 kWh, 231 hp with the 97 kWh Long Range battery, or 325 hp with all-wheel drive. Trims run Edition, GS and Ultimate.

Question 2

How far does the electric Opel Grandland go on a charge?

Accepted Answer

The 73 kWh versions are rated at about 520 km WLTP, and the 97 kWh Long Range at up to about 690 km. The 325 hp all-wheel-drive version, also with 73 kWh, is rated at about 490 km.

Question 3

Does a new electric Opel Grandland pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national law an electric car is exempt from the bollo for five years from first registration, then pays a quarter of the rate. Some regions, such as Lombardy and Piedmont, exempt it for good.

Question 4

New or used Opel Grandland?

Accepted Answer

A new Grandland is the second generation, electric or electrified, with the factory warranty. A used Grandland X, built from 2017, is the earlier car with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines, and costs less.
