Question 1

Which new Peugeot models are on sale in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The 208 and 2008, the 308 and 408, the 3008 and 5008 SUVs, and the Rifter, Traveller and Expert people carriers. Electric versions, named with an E in front, run across most of the range.

Question 2

What is the new Peugeot Hybrid?

Accepted Answer

It is the 1.2 turbo petrol with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and the e-DCS6 dual-clutch automatic, offered with 110 or 145 hp. It cannot be plugged in; the 3008 and 5008 are also sold as 225 hp plug-in hybrids.

Question 3

Which trims do new Peugeots come in?

Accepted Answer

The 208 and 2008 run through Style, Allure, Edition, Lumiere and GT, up to GT Exclusive; the 3008 and 5008 step from Allure and Allure Business to GT Exclusive. The electric E-208 also comes as the 281 hp GTi.

Question 4

Do new electric Peugeots pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

By national rule an electric car pays no bollo for five years from first registration, then a quarter of the rate. Some regions, such as Lombardy and Piedmont, exempt it for good.

Question 5

Is it better to buy a new or a used Peugeot?

Accepted Answer

A new Peugeot carries the manufacturer's warranty and the latest engines, but loses most value in its first years. A recent used one costs less and often keeps part of its factory warranty.
