Question 1

Which engines do the new SEAT Ibiza and Arona have?

Accepted Answer

Both use the three-cylinder 1.0 EcoTSI turbo at 95 or 115 hp, and the four-cylinder 1.5 TSI of 150 hp with DSG on the FR. The Ibiza also offers an 80 hp 1.0 MPI without a turbo, with a manual gearbox.

Question 2

Which trims does the new SEAT Ibiza or Arona come in?

Accepted Answer

The Ibiza steps up from the entry version through Business and Style to the sportier FR. The Arona comes as Style, FR and Black Edition, and the 150 hp 1.5 TSI is offered only as an FR.

Question 3

Is it better to buy a new or a used SEAT in Italy?

Accepted Answer

A new SEAT comes with the factory warranty and the latest safety equipment, but loses most value in its first years. A used Ibiza or Arona a few years old shares much of the same mechanicals and costs less.

Question 4

Does a new SEAT pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

No, every new Ibiza and Arona stays far below the 185 kW threshold. The bollo is charged on kW and Euro class at the owner's regional rate, and IPT at registration depends on kW and province.
