Question 1

Which engines does the new Skoda Kamiq have?

Accepted Answer

All petrol: the 1.0 TSI with 95 cv and a manual gearbox, the 1.0 TSI with 116 cv and a manual or DSG, and the 1.5 TSI ACT with 150 cv, also manual or DSG. There is no diesel or electric Kamiq.

Question 2

What does the Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo add?

Accepted Answer

The Monte Carlo is the sporty-looking trim, with black exterior details and a sportier interior. It comes with the 116 cv 1.0 TSI or the 150 cv 1.5 TSI.

Question 3

Does the Skoda Kamiq 1.5 TSI pay more bollo than the 1.0?

Accepted Answer

Yes: the bollo is charged per kW, and the 150 cv 1.5 TSI has about 110 kW against 85 kW for the 116 cv 1.0. Each region sets its own rates, so the gap depends on where you live.

Question 4

Should I buy a new or used Skoda Kamiq?

Accepted Answer

A new Kamiq has the 2024 update, with new lights and the manufacturer's warranty. A used one from before the update costs less, and early cars may have the 1.6 TDI diesel that the new range no longer offers.
