Question 1

Which new Toyota models are hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Most of them: the Aygo X, Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, Corolla Cross, C-HR, RAV4 and Prius are sold as hybrids with an automatic gearbox. Some, such as the Prius, are plug-in hybrids that can be charged from the mains.

Question 2

Is there a new electric Toyota in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the bZ4X SUV and the C-HR+ are fully electric, and the Proace vans also come in electric versions. Under the national rules an electric car pays no bollo for five years, and Lombardy and Piedmont exempt it for good.

Question 3

Is it better to buy a new or a used Toyota?

Accepted Answer

A new Toyota comes with the factory warranty and the latest hybrid system. A used one a few years old costs less and uses a hybrid system with a long record, but loses less of its value from then on.

Question 4

How much bollo does a new Toyota hybrid pay?

Accepted Answer

In most regions a hybrid pays one flat rate per kW, whatever its Euro class, set by the owner's region. Some regions also give new hybrids a temporary exemption, so check your own region's rule.
