Question 1

Which versions does the new Volkswagen Taigo come in?

Accepted Answer

The 1.0 TSI comes at 95 hp with a manual gearbox or at 115 hp with a manual or DSG, while the 1.5 TSI of 150 hp is DSG only, on the R-Line and R-Line Plus. The 1.0 TSI is offered in every trim: Life, Edition Plus, R-Line and R-Line Plus.

Question 2

Does the new Volkswagen Taigo have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

No, every Taigo is front-wheel drive, whatever the engine. Its crossover stance gives a higher driving position, not off-road ability.

Question 3

How much bollo does a new Volkswagen Taigo pay?

Accepted Answer

The bollo is charged on kW and Euro class at the rate of the owner's region. The 95 and 115 hp versions stay below 100 kW, while the 1.5 TSI, at 110 kW, pays the higher rate on its kW above 100; no Taigo reaches the superbollo.

Question 4

Is it better to buy a new or a used Volkswagen Taigo?

Accepted Answer

A new Taigo has the factory warranty and the 115 hp version of the 1.0 TSI. A used one from the first years, with the 95 or 110 hp 1.0 TSI or the 1.5 TSI, costs less once the steepest depreciation has passed.
