What is the difference between Volkswagen TSI and eTSI?

The eTSI is a TSI petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, which helps when pulling away and lets the engine switch off while coasting. It always comes with the DSG automatic, while plain TSI versions can also be manual.

Which new petrol Volkswagens have a manual gearbox?

Mostly the smaller engines, on the Polo, T-Cross, Taigo, Golf and T-Roc. The eTSI mild hybrids and the more powerful engines come only with the DSG.

Does the new Volkswagen Golf R pay the superbollo?

Yes, the Golf R is well above 185 kW, so it pays the superbollo every year on top of the regional bollo. The smaller TSI engines sit far below that threshold.
